I could kill for a bowl of soup and a platter of deep-fried pork momos. As a matter of fact, I think I'll do that as soon as I log off. Shillong's junk food, Yum!

What's your favorite vacation destination?

I'm not picky. Any place with hills, a bit of jungle and water will do. I could think of a dozen places like that that I've been to. But Port Blair in the Andamans is one place I'd return to again and again. 

How many places have you lived in your life?

I'm a broken record. I keep going back to the same track.

2. Calcutta, West Bengal: Eight years, two residences
3. New Delhi, India: Five years, two residences
4. Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh: One year, one residence
5. New Delhi: Six years, two residences
6. Bangalore, Karnataka: Three years, two residences
7. Kozhikode (Calicut), Kerala: Two years, one residence

9. Ahmedabad, Gujarat: Roughly nine months, one residence

That makes me sound older than I am. But if you subtract the years when I was living concurrently in more than one place it all adds up.

What's your middle name? Is there a story or history behind it?

I don't have one but since I usually abbreviate my given name to Vanlal, most people think that tluanga, which means 'constant', is my middle name. I sometimes wish Mizo names weren't such tongue-twisters.
